14A - Halfway Reflection
1.
To keep up with the requirements of this course
in the past two months, I have managed my time well. While there are multiple
assignments due every week, it is easy to fall behind. However, if you optimize
your time well, you will find yourself to be less stressed.
2.
Being tenacious requires a positive attitude. I
always try to remind myself about my future and what I want for myself down the
road. By doing this, I set myself on the right track toward whatever goal I am
driving toward. I have felt like “giving up” when it came to not believing that
I could reach such high goals that I set for myself, personally and
educationally. I got through this by always looking for a silver lining in
every difficult situation. When something wrong occurs, it works to think about
what I have learned from it and how I can use it to move forward and improve.
For example, if I study wrong for an exam and end up with a grade that I did
not want, I learn from it and change my studying strategy for the course.
3.
Three tips I would offer next semester’s student:
1.
Manage and optimize your time well. You should
put assignments due on your calendar and stick to a schedule.
2.
Always
look for a silver lining when faced with adversity, especially when you feel
like “giving up.”
3.
Keep your goals in mind and think about what
matters in the long run.

Nicolette,
ReplyDeleteI do agree that it is a challenge to keep up with this class, especially when assignments are due at 12 PM. I feel the best way to approach this class is to get ahead, it makes things far easier. I also think your tunnel vision, or long term perspective is also a great way to maintain a positive attitude, looking at things from a broader perspective makes the small things seem more worth it. Great Post
Nicolette,
ReplyDeleteI think the due time for this course is very tricky and easy to fall behind. However, you will keep up with the course if you use your time wisely. I agree with you that a positive attitude can really change things up instantly. It will also improve your productivity and capability. I like how you can change your methods of working when you find out something does not work for you. I think this is a great ability that I should learn from you.
Nicolette,
ReplyDeleteI feel like everyone in our group (group 27) mentioned about the significance of time management and how important it is to bring about successful results for this course. I also realized how much time management mattered when I took this course, since it took up so much of my time. I tried to build more efficient habits so that I could establish a healthier and stronger lifestyle and this course definitely helped me get that done.
Nicolette,
ReplyDeleteTime management is clearly a big factor in this class with multiple assignments due every week. I also like your second point about reminding yourself of your goals. It's easy to get bored in a class when you don't see the value you get from it in terms of your future, but to get there you have to get through college first. I think tip three is the one I need to follow the most because I'm too easily distracted by the fun side of college.
